www.backup.com

Okay so I think I told you guys that my MacBook laptop died.  It was a sad day but I took it last night to the Apple Store.  The guy at the Genius Bar seemed totally bored by the fact that it died and I may have lost all my files, photos and music.  I'm sure he sees many people daily who have not backed up correctly.  I wasn't special in his eyes or anything.  He could of still given me a sad smile or something. So basically it's like 99% positive that I have in fact lost everything, hard drive and maybe even the circuit board or something with a fancy name like that.  So for $280 they will replace it all, clean it up and get it back running.  Great.  Funny thing is I had been working on archiving all my photos from iPhoto and was getting ready to transfer all the pics to my USB drives for storage.  I was a few days too late.  Rob got me a external hard drive for Christmas with like 8000 GIG of memory or something like that.  I'm going to start using that puppy.  So the moral of the story is....back up your stuff people.  Don't wait for tomorrow.  Tomorrow might not come and then you to will be in front of a "Genius" with a  blank stare on his face charging you $280 to verify that you have lost everything......so back it up......

My sil , Karen, sent this to me !  I thought it was funny !  .com

goodnewsbadnews.com

Sorry readers but I can't let it go. The whole .com thing needs to be played out for a bit longer. Bear with me....So my hard drive crashed on my laptop. This is obviously the bad news as this is not good news. All my photos might be lost forever. I'm in a total state of denial. All my bookmarks, documents, movies....it's all on there and maybe gone. Thank goodness for Flickr and YouTube....but still I had around 4000 photos on my laptop. So now I need to make an appointment at the "genius bar" at an Apple Store and take it in. I'm using the kids computer but it's not the same.

So the good news has to do with our little corner where we live. We went to a city traffic advisory meeting last night. Other than the fact that Wolfie looked so bored his body might spontaneously combust it went well. The "Commissioners" agreed that it needs to be a 4 way stop and voted something like 5 in favor and 2 not in favor . There's always got to be a few hard heads in the bunch huh ? I'm still a little confused as it's not 100% done deal but very very close to being one. It's got to go to the city council meeting again and we will need to be there for that meeting also in January. Our local 'watchdog" as I like to refer to him will need to clarify for me the rest of the process. So it went well and we are really on our way.

Have a great Thursday peeps !

holidayparty.com

Rob's company had their holiday party this last weekend. It was at this really fun restaurant in Napa Valley called The Bounty Hunter. The place was closed down for the party, the food was divine, wine delish and it's always fun catching up with Rob's friends from work.

So this is a picture from the Holiday Party 2006.....Rob of course got into the way of Katia and Cynthia's photo. Awww how cute !!!

Here's a pic from the other night. How cute are Katia and Cynthia ? Oh wait who's that guy in the background ? Oh hey it's Rob again ! Always getting in the way of the girls trying to take their pics !!

oneway.com

I want to apologize first of all for using a lot of .com's in my blog titles. For some reason it's just fun and I can't stop....so bear with me for a while and let me play it out !! So I gave my notice at work yesterday. I'm happy to report there were no tears but a little mist did start to get in my eyes but it quickly went away when I thought about all the cute open toed shoes I can now wear to my new job ! Even though the holiday season is rough...it wasn't that rough.....but the schedule is. I wanted something more flexible and the ability to be at each and every basketball game of my kids if humanly possible. I really did/do love my job in a lot of ways. Full time just isn't for me/us and the kids. So I will be starting a new job in a law office that's about 30 hours a week. My sister in law works there and so does this fellow blogger.

I think it's going to be great to not have to use a time clock, wear open toed shoes and be home in the afternoon for my kiddos. We always take something away with us when we move on and I"m going to take so much away from this job. I think that 2008 is going to be a RAWKING year for many reasons and I'm ready to get this party started !!!! Who's with me ?

Changes may be coming.......

I took these pics this morning. If you look really careful you will see a cop sitting out front of my house. I'm really hoping he saw people driving horrible and will make an official report about it. I did see him drive off after someone and then come back and park. Yeah for the Police.
This is Wolfie and his friend Bryan leaving my yard and getting ready to cross. I really hope that our city does something this time to help the crossing be safer ! There is a city meeting on in December that everyone and anyone that this affects should come to. If you want the official date and time just e-mail me. This corner ,on it's own merit ,SHOULD have something in place but it sometimes takes a small CROWD of people and neighbors to help make a point !

Right said Fred.......

you know the words...and it applies to you !!!!

Hugs Hugs !!!!!!

Are you a Cougar ?

Basketball season is really fun !! Wolfie's team is a group of great kids. It's so fun to watch them play and interact with each other on the court and off. Coach Andy is really instilling the word "TEAMWORK" to them and it's showing by the end of the season here.

It's no surprise that I'm bitter about my camera right now. I'm being patient and trying to use my camera for the indoor sports action. Sports mode is a joke. So instead of posting each and every game and detail I'm just going to post some of of the better pics on Flickr. Lexi actually took this picture tonight as her brother had a fire burning under his buttocks and was playing hard and I have to say it's one of the best one of the season. For one it's got action and second....it's just fun to see him ripping the ball away....!!!!!

So all together now "GO COUGARS!"

Got a Napkin ?

So when you move to Napa there's a funny saying that your now a Napakin.....I think that's how it goes. Rob's boss and his family moved into a new home and had a housewarming party this last weekend. It was a super cute house, RAWKING backyard and don't ever underestimate the buttery, goodness of the wine that would be at a party in Napa !

We were able to take the kids and there were some other kids for them to play with. We knew some people from Rob's work and had some very nice conversations with them. I can't wait to see them again at Rob's holiday party coming up in a few weeks. We also met a few new people and it's fun to meet people that are living different live's than we live. That's why I like to get out of our small (but wonderful) town at times.

The kids were hungry when we left the party and we went through In N Out and had some fun. Here's some of the proof:

Happy Birthday to You !

Rob's sister Karen had a birthday this last weekend. She's super kind and sweet. I hope she had a really nice birthday weekend and was able to get some relax time in !!! Hope this year finds serenity and lots of mocha's and bookstore time for you !!!

Kendalls grandma, Grandma Brenda, is celebrating her birthday today ! I hope that Ken, her brother Chase, Tam and Greg spooled Bren today and this weekend !!! G-Bren is always so kind and generous with my kiddos and they consider her their grandma also !! Hope this year finds you lots of great finds at Home Goods !!! :-)

Manic Monday

I really need to get out of bed and get our day started. Heading off to work and school on a Monday always feels wrong ! Wouldn't it be nice to just hang out at home, in bed and sleep in ? I have tomorrow off so maybe I can take Lexi to school , come home and slip back into bed for a while ? NAH to much to do !!!

We got invited , again, to M Court Sunday night dinner. It was a packed house and lots of fun. The food they cook over there is so tasty and yummy ! For a house full of 10 adults and 11 kids it was pretty mellow. Even if it was dark and cold a game of hide and seek in their court was enjoyed by all the kiddos ! Maybe that's why it was mellow, the kids were running around (exposing their bronchial tubes to the cold) and the men were all about sports talk and well the girls......were talking and laughing. Let's just say when Kim gets laughing so hard it makes me want to laugh with her....too funny and the content...well better left unsaid....for now !!!!!

The kids started forming human body pyramids and had a blast ! We had to get the soldiers to be part of the bottom and the kids loved that ! There were too many to post so check out my flickr for more human pyramid fun !!

the tree goes up

The kids, Lexi especially, wanted that tree up even before Thanksgiving. As soon as you could see Christmas stuff in the store it was time to roll. We finally got it up last weekend. The kids did most of it...well all of it really. They set it up, did the lights and got all their favorite ornaments out.

Wolfie being creative with moms camera !!

Lexi loved doing the lights and did a great job !

Wolfie helped untangle the lights so she could hang them ! Thanks for working together !
